      Expression of sgg10.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-P309 results in a clear loss of macrochaetae in the scutellum and a loss of SOP cells in the wing disc. There are no detectable apoptotic cells in the sgg10.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC-expressing region of the wing disc, indicating that SOP loss is not due to cell death.
