Cytology
Description

UASt sequences regulate expression of hh into which EGFP has been inserted in frame before the internal autoproteolysis cleavage site. Two mutations have been introduced in the GCF motif of the internal cleavage site; the Gly residue has been mutated to Ala and the Cys residue has been mutated to a stop codon, resulting in the production of a truncated hh protein.

      Flies expressing hhN.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Ubx.PdC have an enlarged notum with extra macrochaetae. In the wing, the costa region is enlarged and there are extra veins.
