      Metaphases from Su(var)2-HP2Q770X/Df(2R)B11 larval brains show a number of abnormalities (frequency of cells showing each phenotype is indicated in parentheses), such as abnormal chromosome condensation (10.8%), hypercondensed chromosomes (7.8%), hyperploid/polyploid cells (11.7%), chromosome breaks (4.0%) and precocious sister-chromatid segregation (8.8%).

      Su(var)2-HP2Q770X/Df(2R)B11 larvae have poorly developed polytene chromosomes.
