      Metaphases from Su(var)2-HP2Q895X/Df(2R)B11 larval brains show a number of abnormalities (frequency of cells showing each phenotype is indicated in parentheses), such as abnormal chromosome condensation (39.3%), hypercondensed chromosomes (6.6%), chromosome breaks (7.3%) and precocious sister-chromatid segregation (8.1%).

      Su(var)2-HP2Q895X/Df(2R)B11 larvae have poorly developed polytene chromosomes.
