      Metaphases from Su(var)2-HP2C1070X/Df(2R)B11 larval brains show a number of abnormalities (frequency of cells showing each phenotype is indicated in parentheses), such as abnormal chromosome condensation (28.5%), hypercondensed chromosomes (14.7%), hyperploid/polyploid cells (5.9%), chromosome breaks (5.9%) and precocious sister-chromatid segregation (7.8%).

      Su(var)2-HP2C1070X/Df(2R)B11 larvae have poorly developed polytene chromosomes.
