msiunspecified mutant testes exhibit hub-cell defects in 83% of pharate adults. In ~50% of cases, msiunspecified mutants appear to have a smaller than normal hub with few or no hub cells, whereas in other cases the hub appears to be loosely compacted and degenerating.
