Wings that express dsΔICD.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL causes a foreshortening along the proximodistal axis of the wing blade as the anterior and posterior crossveins are abnormally close.

Expression of dsΔICD.Scer\UAS, under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL, rescues the planar cell polarity defects of ds05142 wings in all areas except the most proximal regions of the wing blade. Expression driven by Scer\GAL4ds-gal4 partially rescues planar cell polarity in the proximal wing.
