        PtpmegNP4498/Df(3L)ED201 show mushroom body alpha lobe defects in ~20% of cases; the majority of these cases involve abnormally thin lobes although the alpha lobes are missing altogether in a very small proportion. PtpmegNP4498 homozygotes do not show alpha lobe defects.
