Description

UASp regulatory sequences drive expression of puc carrying a D185A amino acid substitution (this mutation targets the catalytic D conserved in all tyrosine phosphatases). The coding sequence is tagged the N-terminal end with six copies of Tag:MYC.

      In contrast to expression of a wild-type puc transgene, expression of pucDead.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC, under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E, does not reduce the amount of γ-radiation-induced apoptosis in the wing disc.

      Likewise, Scer\GAL4en-e16E>pucDead.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC expression does not cause the misorientation of male external genitalia and increased bristles number seen following wild-type puc overexpression.
