Embryos injected with both hth^dsRNA.exon6 and hth^dsRNA.exon7 show a transformation of segmental identities in the abdomen; A1 is partially transformed toward A2, and A2is transformed to A3, on both the ventral and dorsal surfaces. These embryos also have segmental fusions at a frequency of less than 40% and their Keilin's organs (KOs) are often abnormal.
