dorsal multidendritic neuron ddaE & axon, with Scer\GAL4repo
The number of dendritic endpoints of dorsal dendritic arborisation neurons is reduced compared to controls in larvae expressing NrgdsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155.
Expression of NrgdsRNA.Scer\UAS in neurons and glia, driven by Scer\GAL4IG1-1 and Scer\GAL4repo (resulting in the production of Nrg dsRNA) in embryos does not causes significant branching of the ddaE neuron. This phenotype is not seen when only Scer\GAL4IG1-1 is used to drive expression of NrgdsRNA.Scer\UAS.
Expression of NrgdsRNA.Scer\UAS in glia, driven by Scer\GAL4repo, (leading to production of Nrg dsRNA) results in the termination of glial processes midway on axons to ddaE cell bodies and the exposure of ddaE axonal roots.
Transcription from the P{UAS-Nrg.RNAi} construct should produce Nrg dsRNA, resulting in dsRNA interference (RNAi) of the Nrg gene.
