Description

The FRT cassette has been excised, allowing UAS sequences to drive expression of a Delta coding region in which the intracellular domain has been replaced by a 21 amino acid peptide that contains the wild-type internalization signal (FDNPVY) from the Hsap\LDLR gene. The Delta coding sequence is tagged with six tandem copies of Tag:MYC (the tag sequence is inserted in the extracellular domain, 17 residues upstream of the transmembrane domain).

      Expression of DlScer\UAS.T:Hsap\LDLR-int,T:Hsap\MYC under the control of the ubiquitous driver Scer\GAL4Scer\FRT.Rnor\CD2.Act5C does not rescue N-mediated lateral inhibition in DlRevF10 SerRX106 mutant clones, as a large number of adjacent sensory organ precursors are reproducibly detected.
