imaginal disc (with Samuel24)
larval brain (with Samuel24)
Samuel24/Samuel5D mutants die as late third instar larvae or early prepupae, with 15% of the animals escaping to adulthood with no apparent defects.
Samuel24/Samuel5D third instar larvae show an overgrowth phenotype. They show marked delays of up to 10-14 days in pupariation, severe hemolymph-induced bloating, fat clearing and hyperplastic overgrowth of the imaginal discs and brain.
