spri6G1 mutants do not exhibit any discernible phenotype in the adult brain.

Migration of border follicle cells is normal in spri6G1 homozygotes, or in flies carrying EgfrScer\UAS.cBa or PvrScer\UAS.cDa with Scer\GAL4slbo.2.6, but significant defects in border cell migration, including some instances of complete failure of migration are seen in spri6G1/spri6G1 EgfrScer\UAS.cBa; Scer\GAL4slbo.2.6 flies. Weaker border cell migration defects are seen in spri6G1/spri6G1 PvrScer\UAS.cDa Scer\GAL4slbo.2.6 flies.
spri6G1/spri6G1 also enhances the migration defects seen in border follicle cells in CblF165 homozygous somatic clones. I these animals, border follicle cell clusters rarely reach the oocyte.
