Expression of Hsap\MTF1Scer\UAS.P\T.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act in MTF-1140-1R homozygotes partially rescues the sensitivity of MTF-1140-1R to copper depletion (caused by the copper chelator bathocuproine disulfonate), as increase survival to eclosion is seen.
The sensitivity of MTF-1140-1R homozygotes to heavy metal ions is partially rescued by expression of Hsap\MTF1Scer\UAS.P\T.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act; increased survival is seen on exposure to 1mM or 2mM Cu2+ or on exposure to 100μM or 200μM Cd2+ compared to MTF-1140-1R homozygotes.
