Genomic fragment containing cid. A mRFP1 tag has been inserted in an internal position between the codons specifying amino acid residues 118 and 119.

A genomic fragment of cid is expressed from its own promoter and has mRFP1 fused within the fragment 11 amino acids before the start of the histone fold.
