UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
The expression of Gdap2GD15367 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI (together with Dicer-2, for more efficient RNAi) leads to adults showing wings held in a droopy posture, as well as locomotor defects: flight defects, righting defects, and uncoordinated walking behavior, with reduced walking distance and speed. Adults also exhibit sensitivity (increased mortality) to starvation.
Adults expressing CG18812GD15367 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
