UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
The expression of CG31917GD10407 under the control of Scer\GAL4c564 has no obvious affect on the inflammatory response to Gram-positive bacterial infection, but leads to a minor ectopic inflammatory response in basal (non-infected) conditions, as compared to controls.
CG31917GD10407, Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, Tfb5GD10407 has visible phenotype
CG31917GD10407, Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, Tfb5GD10407 has wing phenotype
Adult males expressing one copy of P{GD10407} (which results in down-regulation of both CG31917 and Tfb5 expression) under the control of one copy of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 have a slightly curled wing phenotype. When two copies of P{GD10407} are expressed under the control of two copies of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 both males and females have deformed and small wings and wing blisters are seen.
Co-expression of Tfb5Scer\UAS.C.T:Zzzz\His6 does not rescue the wing defects seen in flies carrying two copies of P{GD10407} expressed under the control of two copies of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096.
Co-expression of CG31917Scer\UAS.N.T:Hsap\MYC results in significant suppression of the wing defects seen in flies carrying two copies of P{GD10407} expressed under the control of two copies of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096.
Flies expressing one copy of P{GD10407} (which results in down-regulation of both CG31917 and Tfb5 expression) under the control of one copy of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 in a homozygous Tfb5SH1279 background show a reduction in wing size.
