UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Individuals expressing Dh31-RGD3782 under the control of either Scer\GAL4elav-C155 (in combination with Dicer-2 for efficient RNAi) or Scer\GAL4tim.PE and kept under 12h:12h light:dark cycles exhibit an abnormal temperature preference profile, namely a higher and more constant temperature preference (~26[o]C) during daytime compared to the dynamic (increasing) temperature preference of controls (Scer\GAL4elav-C155-driven expression), and a higher but still increasing temperature during daytime compared to controls (Scer\GAL4tim.PE-driven expression). Dh31-RGD3782 expression under the combined control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 and Dicer-2 does not lead to significant changes in circadian behavior (i.e. proportion rhythmicity, circadian period and morning activity anticipation index), as compared to controls.
Adults expressing Dh31-RGD3782 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
