The expression of Rbpn-5^GD11194 under the control of Scer\GAL4^ap-md544 leads to adult wings presenting an upward curvature.

Expression of Rbpn-5^GD11194 under the control of Scer\GAL4^Bx-MS1096 (in the presence of Dcr-2^Scer\UAS.cDa to enhance RNAi efficiency) results in mild wing trichome swirling, together with mild wing vein defects.

Expression of Rbpn-5^GD11194 under the control of Scer\GAL4^pnr-MD237 disrupts the polarity of microchaetae and trichomes in the notum.
