UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
The total number of eggs laid over 10 days in females mated to CG4815GD4996, Scer\GAL4tub.PU males is similar to their controls. Females lay significantly fewer eggs than controls after the first day of mating, though significantly more eggs than controls 9 days after mating.
Females mated to CG4815GD4996, Scer\GAL4tub.PU show no defects in post-mating receptivity compared to controls.
Adults expressing CG4815GD4996 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
