      Expression of CCDC53GD12236 under the control of Scer\GAL4VP16.mat.αTub67C leads to premature ooplasmic streaming in stage 7 oocytes, disorganized actin at the oocyte cortex and ring canals surrounded by diffuse actin structures in stage 7-9 egg chambers when compared to controls.

      Adults expressing CCDC53GD12236 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
