UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Expression of unoGD14007 under the control of Scer\GAL4VP16.bam leads to bi-lobed individual chromosome territories at the late spermatocyte stages, an invariably increased number of chromosome clumps (with a reduction in their size) during pro-metaphase I, less homogenous size and DNA content of the spermatid nuclei in post-meiotic cysts, and random segregation of chromosomes during meiosis I when compared to controls.
Adults expressing CG8712GD14007 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
