UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
The expression of FimGD1609 under the control of Scer\GAL4hh-Gal4 or Scer\GAL4ap-md544 induces a small wing disc pouch, as well as fewer and shortened/misshapen in microvilli in the wing disc posterior compartment. In the Scer\GAL4hh-Gal4-driven expression condition, wing discs show a decrease in the number of extracellular vesicle; adults show a small wing.
Adults expressing FimGD1609 under the control of the cardioblast-specific Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4 driver show significantly reduced survival on day 6 after a shift to 29[o]C compared to control flies.
Adults expressing FimGD1609 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
Expression of FimGD1609 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) results in viable flies or complete lethality, depending on the particular P{GD1609} insertion line used.
Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 may result in semi-lethality, depending on the insertion line used.
