The expression of Klp98A^GD11724 under the control of Scer\GAL4^ap-md544 does not significantly affect the adult wing morphology, as compared to controls.

During sensory organ precursor division, endosomes are symmetrically dispatched between pIIa and pIIb and spindle asymmetry is abolished when Klp98A^GD11724 is knocked down.

Adults expressing Klp98A^GD11724 under the control of Scer\GAL4^elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2^Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
