UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Walking and jumping behaviors are unaffected in flies expressing TpnC4GD7719 under the control of Scer\GAL4Hk-UH3 (limited to the late stages of development using Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B). No visible phenotype is seen in the indirect flight muscle fascicles. Sarcomere disruption is seen, and this becomes more severe when TpnC4GD7719 is co-expressed with Dcr-2.
Adults expressing TpnC4GD7719 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in grossly normal adult indirect flight muscles.
Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in morphologically wild-type myofibrils in the adult indirect flight muscles.
Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in sarcomeres with broadened Z-lines in the adult indirect flight muscles.
