UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
fs(1)hGD4452 driven by Scer\GAL419-12 (in the presence of UAS-dcr2) causes a significant reduction of dendritic spikes in larval class III da sensory neurons, and a significantly reduced behavioral response to gentle touch, compared to wild type. Extracellular recordings from class III da neurons in larvae with fs(1)hGD4452 driven by Scer\GAL419-12 (in the presence of UAS-dcr2) show significantly reduced numbers of action potentials per second in response to gentle touch, compared to wild type.
Adults expressing fs(1)hGD4452 under the control of the cardioblast-specific Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4 driver show significantly reduced survival on day 6 after a shift to 29[o]C compared to control flies.
