Expression of rst^GD14475 in wing margin cells under the control of Scer\GAL4^wg-IS650 disrupts the normal hair alignment. However, expression in hair cells under the control of Scer\GAL4^{neur-GAL4-A101} does not affect wing hair alignment.

Adults expressing rst^GD14475 under the control of Scer\GAL4^elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2^Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
