      As in wild type, Iap2E151 mutant bursCCAP neurons undergo programmed cell death shortly after eclosion.

      Mutant flies show a similar sensitivity to X-irradiation, oxidative stress (paraquat) and high salt as control flies.

      Iap2E151 flies and wild-type flies die at similar rates after exposure to the Gram-positive bacteria S.aureus, however Iap2E151 flies are much more sensitive to the Gram-negative bacteria E.cloacae than wild-type flies.

      Fat body morphology is normal in mutant larvae and adults.
