Expression of Atf-2bZIP.Scer\UAS in the wing disc, under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, results in the distortion of wing venation and extensive production of fragments of vein material.

Embryos that express Atf-2bZIP.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB show normal viability when bred in normal culture medium. However, if the culture medium contains 0.2M NaCl, their viability decreases to ~40% of controls.

Coexpression of Atf-2bZIP.Scer\UAS and p38bDN.Scer\UAS, under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, there is an enhancement of the wing formation defects seen when only Atf-2bZIP.Scer\UAS is expressed. In contrast, expressing only p38bDN.Scer\UAS does not lead to visible wing defects.

Coexpression of Atf-2bZIP.Scer\UAS with Mekk1Scer\UAS.cIa, under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, results in a partial suppression of the Mekk1Scer\UAS.cIa-induced wing phenotype.

Coexpression of Atf-2bZIP.Scer\UAS and p38bDN.Scer\UAS, under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB, enhances the salt-sensitive phenotype of embryos seen when Atf-2bZIP.Scer\UAS is expressed alone. In contrast, coexpression of Mekk1Scer\UAS.cIa partially suppresses the Scer\GAL4hs.PB>Atf-2bZIP.Scer\UAS salt sensitivity.
