FlyBase curator comment: this entry is used to capture phenotypic information when the particular allele (or allele combination) used by the author could not be determined but the context of the experiment suggests that the phenotype being described is some kind of loss of function.
Homozygous neuroblast clones in the mushroom body are greatly reduced in size compared to control clones.
Hemizygous larvae grow more slowly than normal and the imaginal discs are smaller than in control larvae. The discs do not show any evidence of tumours or overgrowth, but they are abnormally shaped and more folded than normal.
