        Ovaries in females expressing stwlEY05697 under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 are morphologically similar to wild type. However, they contain extra germline stem cell (GSC)-like cells in the germarium, with on average, two to three extra GSC-like cells per germarium compared to controls.
