Frq1DN.UAS, Frq1RNAi.UAS, Frq2DN.UAS, Scer\GAL4Toll-6-D42 has type I bouton phenotype
Larvae co-expressing Frq2DN.Scer\UAS, Frq1DN.Scer\UAS and Frq1dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4D42 show an increase in the number of type 1s boutons at the larval neuromuscular junction, while the number of type 1b boutons is not significantly affected.
The amplitude of the evoked excitatory junctional potential (EJP) at the neuromuscular junction is not significantly different from wild type in larvae expressing Frq1dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4D42 or Scer\GAL4elav-C155. The amplitude and frequency of spontaneous mEJPs is not affected in these flies. Quantal content of type 1b and type 1s boutons is unaffected.
The P{UAS-Frq.RNAi} construct attenuates the expression of both the Frq1 and Frq2 genes.
