    Site of mutation inferred by FlyBase curator. Reported as a nonsense mutation leaving a truncated protein of 541 aa. The nonsense mutation was mapped to residue 541 because W to term mutations are more common than S to term and the position of the other reported mutation was one off from the reference sequence location.

        Mean clone size in the adult wing is smaller when clones are induced at 3-4 days after egg laying (AEL) compared to 4-5 days AEL, indicating that homozygous cells are lost over time. Almost no clones are recovered in adult wings when they are induced at 2-3 days AEL.

        Homozygous clones in the wing occasionally produce with multiple wing hairs or a fair of obvious abnormal polarity.
