Expression of GSd450GSd450 under the control of Scer\GAL4109(2)80 results in severe reduction of dendrite outgrowth and branching in the dendrites of dorsal cluster dendritic arborisation (da) neurons in third instar larvae (class I, II, III and IV da neurons are all affected), often accompanied by degeneration of the cell soma.
Isolated RP2 neuron clones expressing GSd450GSd450 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP (clones generated using the Scer\FLP1eve.RN2 line) show a reduction in dendrite branching at 25-31 hours after egg laying.
Fas2-positive axon bundles in the ventral nerve cord are fused and are seen misplaced within the connective in embryos expressing GSd450GSd450 under the control of Scer\GAL4scrt-11-6. The ventral nerve cord is thinned. In addition, in the periphery, the ISNb, ISNd, SNa and SNc motor neurons are missing or thinned.
