UASp regulatory sequences drive expression of the second ORF of Sxl, tagged with Tag:HA at the NheI restriction enzyme site (2245). This construct has the bru1-response elements (BREs) removed through the excision of a fragment between NheI (2245) and NheI (3379) restriction site enzymes.

      Ovarian expression of SxlMS11.δBRE.Scer\UASp.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.PG leads to all germaria filling with overproliferating cysts that contain many branched fusomes. In addition, fusomes are present in pseudo egg chambers.
