      Mosaic flies with eye and head capsules largely homozygous for bunA-R508W (generated using the eyFLP/FRT technique) have small heads ("pinhead" phenotype).

      bunA-R508W/Df(2L)Exel6033 animals mostly develop into third instar larvae, and some develop into prepupae.
