      Heat-shock-induced expression of verma.hs.PM during embryogenesis blocks the outgrowth of primary branches of the dorsal longitudinal tracheal trunks, revealing an alteration in the growth and guidance of tracheols.

      Heat-shock-induced expression of verma.hs.PM during pupal development perturbs the optomotor response of adult flies. Increasing the extent of heat shock from 2 to 4 days exacerbates the phenotype.
