UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Expression of Dph1KK100975 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 combined with Gal80[ts] to bypass the developmental stage and Scer\GAL80Su(H).GBE to limit the expression to intestinal stem cells (ISCs) has no significant effect on the number of ISCs, but it significantly reduced the number of actively proliferating (EdU+) cells in the posterior adult midgut (similar reduction is also observed without the addition of Scer\GAL80Su(H).GBE).
Expression of Dph1KK100975 under either Scer\GAL4GMR11F02 or Scer\GAL4en.PU does not affect the number of mitotic (pH3+) cells in the third instar larval wing disc and has no impact on the wing size or morphology in adult flies. Scer\GAL4nos.PG-driven expression (with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficacy) does not induce any loss of germline stem cells in female germaria, compared to controls.
