Expression of CycAKK101548 under the control of Scer\GAL4bam.T:Hsim\VP16 prevents meiosis I progression in adult males: spermatocytes only progress as far as metaphase-anaphase I before differentiating into aberrant 16-cell onion-stage spermatids.

Expression of CycAKK101548 under the control of Scer\GAL4c768 results defects in maintenance of the neuroepithelium cells in the developing optic lobe and premature neuroblast formation.
