Expressing Cul4^KK101901 under the control of Scer\GAL4^insc-Mz1407, but not Scer\GAL4^repo.PU, leads to larval brain neuroblasts showing signs of quiescence: neuroblasts show a significant decrease in cell divisions (both DNA replication/EdU staining and Mitosis/phospho-H3); and frequently show a primary cellular process, whereas control neuroblasts show a typically rounded morphology. (Experiments were done in combination with Dicer-2 for higher RNAi efficiency).

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^Mef2.PR results in sarcomeres with irregular aggregates of Z-lines in the larval body wall muscles.
