Adulthood-only expression of Atg16^KK102326 under the combined control of Scer\GAL4^{Myo31DF-NP0001} and Gal80[ts] does not significantly affect the posterior midgut cell size, as compared to controls. Adulthood-only expression under the combined control of Scer\GAL4^tub.PU and Gal80[ts] leads to the failure to induce autophagy (assessed by the lysosome and autophagosome marker, Lysotracker) in the adult fat body in response to starvation, as compared to controls.
