UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
5-days old adults expressing easKK102681 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa display bloated photoreceptor cell axon terminals and incomplete optic cartridges.
Expression of easKK102681 under the control of Scer\GAL4Lsp2.3.1 (using tub-Gal80[ts] to limit expression to adulthood) does not induce cell death in either germaria or vitellogenic stage follicles and while it does not affect the proliferation of the germline stem cells it leads to significant increase in the rate of their loss over time.
