A slight increase in adult eye size is observed when wapKK102794 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU compared to controls.

Expression of wapKK102794 under the control of Scer\GAL4rn.PU results in a 21% decrease in wing size compared to controls.

Flies expressing wapKK102794 under the control of Scer\GAL4hh.PU have legs that are 9% shorter than controls.

Expression of wapKK102794 under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL results in pupal stage lethality. The pupal stage tergal depressor of the trochanter (TDT) muscle is either reduced or absent. Some flies exhibit both phenotypes, with a reduced jump muscle on one side of the thorax and a missing jump muscle on the contralateral side.

When wapKK102794 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 lethality occurs at two days post-eclosion. The tergal depressor of the trochanter (TDT) muscle is either reduced or absent. No wing phenotypes are seen, but many eclosed adults fail to expand their wings prior to death.

Flies expressing wapKK102794 under the control of either Scer\GAL4elav.PU or both Scer\GAL4elav.PU and Scer\GAL41151 are semi-lethal and those that do eclose die within two days.

Expression of wapKK102794 under the control of Scer\GAL41151 results in tergal depressor of the trochanter (TDT) muscles with a reduced number of fibres compared to controls. A similar, but weaker, phenotype is seen when wapKK102794 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR. A significant, but less severe, loss of fibres is also seen when wapKK102794 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU.Expressing wapKK102794 under the control of Scer\GAL41151 and Scer\GAL4elav.PU simultaneously produces a phenotype that is not more severe than with Scer\GAL41151 alone.
