UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Flies with expression of BOD1KK102939 (together with UAS-dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency) driven by Scer\GAL4elav.PU show normal startle response but have significant learning defects (in a simple non-associative learning assay, the light-off jump reflex habituation paradigm) compared to controls. Third instar larvae with expression of BOD1KK102939 (together with UAS-dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency) driven by Scer\GAL4elav.PU show significant increases in synaptic branching points at the neuromuscular junction compared to controls.
