      Larval optic lobe clones expressing nerfin-1KK105266 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU include ectopic neuroblasts, located where post-mitotic neurons should be.

      Expression of nerfin-1KK105266 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 (in combination with a Dicer-2 transgene to enhance RNAi efficiency and a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to 96h after larval hatching) results in ectopic neuroblasts in the optic lobe located where post-mitotic neurons should be.
