UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Expression of spiKK105786 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO from immediately after hatching onwards (using mifepristone to control the timing of expression) results in significantly reduced olfactory learning ability in third instar larvae. These larvae show normal gustatory preference responses to fructose and to quinine and show normal olfactory responses to amyl acetate and to 1-octanol.
spiKK105786/Scer\GAL4Su(H).GBE is a suppressor | partially of neoplasia phenotype of Sox21a6
spiKK105786/Scer\GAL4Su(H).GBE is a suppressor | partially of adult anterior midgut epithelium phenotype of Sox21a6
spiKK105786/Scer\GAL4NP0001 is a non-suppressor of adult anterior midgut epithelium phenotype of Sox21a6
Expression of spiKK105786 in enteroblasts under the control of Scer\GAL4Su(H).GBE reduces tumor formation in the anterior midgut of Sox21a6 mutant flies. The reduction is not significant when spiKK105786 is expressed in enterocytes under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001.
