UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Adult flies expressing nompCKK105819 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU show normal preference for less solid sucrose-agarose food than a harder one (higher agarose conc., same sucrose content) one in a two-way food choice assay.
Larvae expressing nompCKK105819 under the control of Scer\GAL41003.3 (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to enhance RNAi) show a reduced response to gentle touch compared to controls. Class III ddaA neurons in these larvae show a significant decrease in the number of dendritic sensory filopodia compared to wild type. The average length of the filopodia is significantly decreased, while the total length of primary dendritic branches is not altered.
