      Adults expressing HmgsKK107372 for 2 days under the combined control of Scer\GAL4GMR54H02 and Gal80[ts] (for temporal control of expression) exhibit decreased associative olfactory memory under starvation conditions, but not when fed. Starvation induces enlarged lipid droplets in the brain region where cortex glia enwrap mushroom body neuronal soma. Naive individuals show decreased odor avoidance to Octanol.
