Females expressing pebKK107575 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR44E10 or Scer\GAL4GMR47A04 lay significantly fewer eggs, show significantly longer ovulation time despite of no changes in the time spent by eggs in the oviduct and uterus, and show a significant decrease in octopamine-induced follicle rupture (ex vivo treated egg chambers), as compared to controls; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR44E10, but not of Scer\GAL4GMR47A04, also leads to a significant decrease in ionomycin-induced follicle rupture (ex vivo treated egg chambers), as compared to controls; no other obvious oogenesis defects are observed, as plenty of stage-14 egg chambers are produced.

Stage 14 egg chambers from females expressing pebKK107575 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR47A04 show an intact or broken posterior basement membrane, instead of the mostly open posterior basement membrane observed in controls.
